Konica KM1024a SHE-PP PRINTHEAD
The KM1024aSHE is an upgraded version built on top of the KM1024i 6PL printhead. It’s been seriously improved in a few areas — performance, grayscale, variable dot, and durability — and it can run UV, solvent, and water-based inks.

Its speed advantage comes from the analog waveform. Compared to other brands’ heads, it prints about 30%–50% faster under the same conditions (3-level grayscale mode). The new drive method also gives the waveform more flexibility and range, so you get more room to fine-tune during setup.
The variable dot technology is one of its big improvements. With the latest variable-dot tech, the ink forms large, medium, and small dots the moment it leaves the nozzle. This cuts down on outside factors messing with how the dots form, avoids misshapen (non-round) dots and satellite drops, and as a result smooths out color transitions and reduces ink misting.
On durability, it uses a new nozzle plate material that’s about 100x more scratch-resistant than the previous version (based on in-house testing), plus a new production process that optimizes drop velocity for each individual nozzle.
