The Ricoh Gen4 7-35PL printhead (model MH2420) is an industrial-grade piezoelectric printhead manufactured by Ricoh as an original part. It works with water-based, solvent, and UV inks, giving it a wide range of applications. The printhead has a built-in heater and thermistor that allow it to regulate operating temperature. This model corresponds to several official Ricoh part numbers, including N220792W, N220792J, N220792S, N220792U, and N220792E.

In terms of structure, the printhead ships with a hose-barb ink inlet from the factory. If an O-ring sealed ink connection is needed, the barbs can be removed. The cable, including the connector, has a total length of 44 cm. The earlier short-cable version has been discontinued and is now uniformly replaced by the long-cable version. The components in direct contact with the ink are made of stainless steel, nickel, and epoxy adhesive.

The printhead is compatible with a broad range of machines, covering models such as the Anajet mPower, MP5i, and MP10i; the CET Color X-Press 500Q; the Digitex Gunsjet series; the Durst Omega 1/2; and the DYSS Apollo GF2616 series, among other UV flatbed and solvent printers.
