XAAR 2002 PLUS GS40

Introducing the Xaar 2002
The Xaar 2002 printhead uses the latest inkjet technology, making setup faster, installation easier, and downtime shorter.
With its new alignment features and individually lasered nozzles, the Xaar 2002 gives you excellent print uniformity, consistent ink drops, and better color density across the entire print area
Key Advantages
Outstanding Print Quality – With a native 720 dpi resolution, you get sharp edges, clear text, and smooth patterns.
AcuChp™ Technology – Thanks to balanced actuator selection and chip trimming, the colour is consistent right from the start, with less density difference between printheads.
Ultra High Laydown – You can print up to 240 g/m², producing bright, vivid results for many different uses.
XaarDOT™ Variable Drop Sizes – Drop sizes range from 6 pL to 400 pL, giving you the ideal mix of fine detail and good coverage.
TF Technology® Ink Recirculation – This top-of-the-line recirculation system stops nozzle clogs, boosts reliability, and extends open time
Ease of Use
- Plug-and-Print Installation – It’s easy to install with precise drop-in alignment, so you can integrate it quickly and simply.
- Consistent Drop Volumes – You get reliable performance from every nozzle and every printhead, with stable, repeatable results.
- Smooth Tones & Flat Tints – Precision laser-cut nozzles make sure the colour density is even across the whole print bar
Serviceability
- Lower Total Cost of Ownership – Its serviceable design lets you replace flexible circuits, gaskets and screws with the Xaar 2002 service pack.
- Sustainable Repair Options – You can repair more printheads on site, which cuts down on shipping, replacement costs and downtime.
Customisation Options
- OEM Branding – Add your own logo or branding to the printhead for a more integrated solution.
- Flexible Integration – Designed for use across multiple applications and print system architectures.
Unrivalled printing capability with Xaar technology

Xaar’s TF Technology and its unique Hybrid Side Shooter printhead design allow fluids to flow directly behind the nozzles at very high speeds when ejecting ink drops.
- Nozzles stay constantly primed, so the printhead keeps working and firing steadily.
- It stops sediment buildup and nozzle clogging, especially with heavily pigmented inks.
- Air bubbles and unwanted particles in the ink are flushed away.
- Reliability is greatly improved, even in tough industrial environments.
- Jetting is far more reliable than other printhead designs, which have complicated ink paths that only circulate near—not at—the back of the nozzles.
- The printhead can start up easily even after being idle for a long time

Xaar’s High Laydown Technology opens up a whole new range of applications, as it can deposit large amounts of fluid in each pass.
For packaging, labels and commercial printing, it can print thick layers of UV ink or high-build varnish in just one pass to create tactile effects.
What’s more, this technology meets the dimensional requirements for Braille printing and complies with European standards for tactile warning triangles on labels, without the complicated process of screen printing.
High Laydown Technology provides unmatched ink discharge rates for creating gloss and adhesive effects on ceramic tiles, allowing these effects to be printed at high production speeds.
In additive manufacturing, it boosts printing productivity, greatly speeding up part production. It also works with a wider variety of fluids, including higher-viscosity materials, resulting in stronger 3D-printed parts compared to standard inkjet technology

Usually, standard inkjet systems can only handle fluids with a viscosity of around 10 to 25 cP. But Xaar’s technology can jet much higher viscosities, up to 100 cP, when combined with its High Laydown Technology.
This ultra-high viscosity jetting opens up a whole new range of possibilities for inkjet:
Support for a much wider range of functional fluids, such as paints, adhesives, and solder masks
Higher particle loading and larger particle sizes for a wider colour range, better opacity, and special effects, which is great for graphics, ceramic tile, and glass printing.
The ability to use higher molecular weight photopolymers, making printed parts tougher and more flexible – ideal for advanced manufacturing and 3D printing.
Less ink spreading for sharper edges on non-porous materials, like in glass printing.
