Roland part 1000018520 (SENSOR-INTERRUPTER,KI1391) is a slot-type photo interrupter used in the CAMM-1 GS-24 and GS2-24 desktop cutters and the GR-640, GR-540 and GR-420 wide-format cutters. This kind of sensor detects when a moving part or a flag passes through its slot, allowing the machine to know the position of mechanisms such as levers and moving assemblies. This is a genuine, original Roland part – not a copy or compatible replacement.
If the sensor is dirty, damaged or has failed, the cutter receives wrong information.
