Mimaki MP-TS1981273 Overview
The Mimaki MP-TS1981273 is the carbon brush set for the Y-axis motor of the JFX200-2513EX UV flatbed printer, supplied as a set of 4 brushes. In a brushed DC motor, the carbon brushes carry current to the rotating commutator; they wear down gradually with use and are designed to be replaced, so the motor itself can stay in service. This is a genuine, original Mimaki part – not a copy or compatible replacement.
Replace the brushes when the Y motor becomes weak, noisy or sparks, when it runs intermittently, or when the printer reports Y-axis motor or servo errors. Short or unevenly worn brushes and heavy carbon dust inside the motor are clear signs that it is time to fit new ones. Replacing brushes in time is much cheaper than replacing the whole motor.
