Original Mimaki UJF-3042MkII / UJF-6042MkII Head Base Plate – M400885

The M400885 head base plate (original Mimaki name: Carriage Base CE) is the precision plate on the carriage of Mimaki UJF-3042MkII, UJF-3042MkII e, UJF-6042MkII and UJF-6042MkII e UV flatbed printers to which the printheads are fixed. It defines the position, height and angle of each head, so it is the reference for head alignment and print quality. This is a genuine, original Mimaki part – not a copy or compatible replacement.

If the carriage hits a raised object on the table or the heads are removed and refitted many times, the plate can be bent or its mounting threads damaged. A plate that is not flat makes it impossible to align the heads properly: you may see banding, colour misregistration, bidirectional errors that cannot be corrected, or heads that sit too low and touch the media. Replacing the base plate restores the original geometry for accurate head mounting.
