Roland ZC-5032 Overview
The Roland ZC-5032 is a 3.2 mm collet for the ZS-500T modeling spindle, used on the MDX-500 and MDX-650 milling machines. It clamps the cutting tool in the spindle and keeps it centered while the spindle turns at speed. This is a genuine, original Roland part – not a copy or compatible replacement.
Collets wear gradually with every tool change, and dirt or chips in the collet seat make the problem worse. A worn ZC-5032 can let tools slip deeper into the material, increase runout so that walls and details come out rough, cause chatter and break small tools. Marks or scoring on the tool shank are another sign the collet is no longer holding properly.
