This is the scanning sensor assembly ASSY,SENSOR PIX-30/4, part number 22805332, for the Roland PIX-30 and PIX-4 3D scanners. The same sensor is also used on the MDX-20 and MDX-15 desktop milling machines, which can scan models as well as mill them. This is a genuine, original Roland part – not a copy or compatible replacement.

The sensor carries the contact probe that touches the object and reports each point to the machine. If the probe needle is bent or broken, or the sensor electronics fail, scans become noisy, show holes or spikes, stop with errors, or the machine no longer detects contact at all. Dropping the sensor or scanning too fast are common causes of damage. A replacement assembly restores accurate scanning.
