This is a genuine, original Roland part – not a copy or compatible replacement.

This unit provides DC power for the printer's drive electronics, so a failing unit often shows up when the machine is busy. Look for a printer that will not power on, one that stops during start-up, resets or switches off in the middle of a job, or reports motor, carriage or heater errors that clear after a restart. Overheating, a burning smell or noise from the power unit are further signs. A new unit restores a stable supply and helps protect the other boards.
