The ZEC-U3050 is a Roland blade intended for thick materials. It is a good choice when you need to cut cardboard, thick sandblast resist or other heavy media that a standard vinyl blade struggles with, and it fits the VersaCAMM VS-640i, VS-540i and VS-300i as well as the GX-500 and GR-640. This is a genuine, original Roland part – not a copy or compatible replacement.
Thick media puts much more load on the blade. A worn or unsuitable blade will tear the material, leave cuts that do not go all the way through, or round off corners that should be sharp. Blade offset plays a big part here: the offset value set in the cutter changes how corners are cut, so set it to match this blade before production and run a test cut on your material.
