On the head’s origin: Mimaki does not manufacture printheads in-house. Instead, it sources printheads from third-party manufacturers, integrates them into its own proprietary assembly structure, and assigns them official M-series part numbers.
On the head type: The printhead actually used in the UJF-7151 Plus is the Toshiba CF1B, a Drop-on-Demand Piezo type head. This is also why the machine supports both UV-curable and oil-based inks.
