Mimaki UJF-7151 Plus Printhead Assembly Overview
On the part numbers: The early official part number was M017429, which was later superseded by the newer part number MP-M025074. Both numbers refer to the same printhead assembly.
On what’s included: What is sold here is not a bare printhead, but a complete printhead assembly (Head Assembly). A full set typically includes the mounting bracket, ink tubes, damper, and sub-tank.
On the head’s origin: Mimaki does not manufacture printheads in-house. Instead, it sources printheads from third-party manufacturers, integrates them into its own proprietary assembly structure, and assigns them official M-series part numbers.
On the head type: The printhead actually used in the UJF-7151 Plus is the Toshiba CF1B, a Drop-on-Demand Piezo type head. This is also why the machine supports both UV-curable and oil-based inks.
On ink circulation: The assembly features a full-channel ink circulation design. As part of Mimaki Circulation Technology (MCT), it effectively suppresses the settling of high-sedimentation inks such as white ink, reduces the risk of nozzle clogging, and helps ensure stable long-term production.
