Original Mimaki Cap Bottom Absorber – M802426

The Mimaki M802426 cap bottom absorber is the absorber sponge that sits at the bottom of the head cap in the capping station. When the caps close over the print heads, the absorber collects the ink drawn out during suction cleaning and flushing, and it helps keep a moist environment around the nozzles while the printer is parked. This is a genuine, original Mimaki part – not a copy or compatible replacement.

Replace the absorber when it is saturated, hardened or contaminated with dried ink and dust. An old absorber can no longer take up waste ink, which leads to ink pooling in the cap, poor sealing, weak cleaning results and nozzles that clog after standby. Replacing the cap absorbers regularly is a low-cost way to protect expensive print heads.
