Mimaki SPA-0335 Overview
SPA-0335 is the capping station (cap unit) for Mimaki CJV330, JV330 and TS330-1600 printers. When the carriage parks at the maintenance station, the caps seal against the print head nozzle plates to stop the ink from drying, and during cleaning the pump draws ink through the caps to clear blocked nozzles. This is a genuine, original Mimaki part – not a copy or compatible replacement.
Cap rubber hardens and wears, and dried ink can build up on the lips and inside the caps. A cap that no longer seals properly lets the nozzles dry out and makes head cleaning ineffective. Typical symptoms are nozzles that keep dropping out after the machine stands overnight, cleaning that pulls little or no ink, and ink build-up around the cap area. Regular replacement of the capping station is one of the best ways to protect expensive print heads.
