Original Mimaki JV33 / JV5 Linear Encoder Board – E106614

The Mimaki E106614 linear encoder board is the encoder sensor that reads the linear scale (encoder strip) on a large family of Mimaki roll printers: JV33 and JV5, CJV30, CJV150 and CJV300, JV150 and JV300, plus the TS3-1600 and TS5-1600AMF. Mounted on the carriage, it detects the fine marks on the strip as the carriage moves, and sends position pulses to the main board, which uses them to fire the nozzles at exactly the right moment. This is a genuine, original Mimaki part – not a copy or compatible replacement.

Replace the encoder board when the printer reports carriage position or encoder errors that remain after cleaning or replacing the encoder strip, when the carriage stops unexpectedly, or when prints show banding, blurred areas or poor bidirectional alignment. Ink mist on the sensor window or a damaged sensor element are typical causes.
