Original Mimaki Reflection Sensor – MP-PS122TL8-A

The MP-PS122TL8-A is a reflection-type optical sensor used in Mimaki printers. A reflection sensor emits light and measures how much is reflected back from a surface, which lets the machine detect the presence or position of media, mechanical parts or markers without touching them. This is a genuine, original Mimaki part – not a copy or compatible replacement.

Over time a reflection sensor can be contaminated by ink mist and dust, damaged during service, or simply fail electrically. Typical symptoms are sensor or detection errors on the panel, media not being recognised, wrong width or position readings, or an operation that stops because the machine cannot confirm a position. If cleaning the sensor window does not help, replacing the sensor with the original part is the reliable fix.
