Mimaki SPA-0287 Overview
The Mimaki SPA-0287 is the maintenance wiper for the UJF-3042FX, UJF-3042HG, UJF-6042, UJF-A3FX and UJF-A3HG UV flatbed printers, supplied as a pack of 3 pieces. The wiper is part of the cleaning station: during head cleaning the carriage passes over it and the blade removes ink, mist and dust from the nozzle plates. This is a genuine, original Mimaki part – not a copy or compatible replacement.
With UV ink, residue on the wiper can cure and harden, and the blade edge wears with each cleaning cycle. A worn or contaminated wiper spreads ink over the nozzles instead of removing it. Typical signs are missing or deflected nozzles right after cleaning, ink drops on the print and cleaning cycles that no longer restore a clean nozzle check. Replacing the wiper regularly keeps cleaning effective and helps protect the print heads.
