Mimaki MP-E301184 Overview
The MP-E301184 is the 150 dpi encoder strip (linear scale) for Mimaki UJV55, SWJ-320 and SIJ-320 wide-format printers. The strip is stretched along the full carriage path and read by the encoder sensor on the carriage, telling the printer the exact carriage position so that ink is fired at the right moment across the whole printing width. This is a genuine, original Mimaki part – not a copy or compatible replacement.
On wide machines the strip is long and exposed to ink mist and dust, and it can be scratched or kinked during cleaning or service work. A dirty or damaged strip causes encoder errors, carriage stops, blurred or doubled printing and misalignment that appears at the same position on every pass. If cleaning does not solve the problem, or the strip is visibly damaged, replace it with the original part for reliable, accurate positioning.
