Part number 1000018500 is the ASSY,MAIN BOARD CG1111_01 for the Roland MDX-50 benchtop milling machine. The MDX-50, with its automatic tool changer and optional rotary axis, is used for product prototypes, small production runs and education, and this board controls the whole machine. This is a genuine, original Roland part – not a copy or compatible replacement.
The main board runs the firmware and the VPanel connection, drives the axis motors, manages the spindle and the automatic tool changer, and monitors the safety cover and sensors. Symptoms of a faulty board include no response at power-on, the machine stopping during initialization, VPanel failing to find the machine, repeated unexplained errors, or tool changes failing even though the mechanics are fine.
