Roland part 6000004658, ASSY,CAP TOP SV CG2076, is the cap top for the TrueVIS family: SG-300 and SG-540 printer/cutters and their SG2 and SG3 successors, the VG-540 / VG-640 printers through the VG2 and VG3 generations, and the VF2-640 dye-sublimation printer. This is a genuine, original Roland part – not a copy or compatible replacement.

The cap top is part of the head maintenance station. It caps the print heads whenever the carriage is at rest, keeping the nozzles from drying out, and it seals the heads during cleaning so the pump can draw ink through them. When the cap material wears or is coated in dried ink the seal fails: cleanings stop recovering nozzles, missing lines appear after the machine has stood idle and the head is put at risk. A new cap top is an inexpensive way to restore reliable maintenance.
