Roland part number W811904230, PANEL BOARD ASSY LF FJ-540, is the front control panel board shared by the Hi-Fi JET FJ-540 and the SOLJET SJ-540, SJ-640 and SJ-740, as well as the SJ-545EX, SJ-645EX and SJ-745EX. This is a genuine, original Roland part – not a copy or compatible replacement.

This board holds the LCD and the operation keys used for media setup, head cleaning, test prints and menu settings. It talks to the main board through a cable, so any fault on the panel leaves the operator without control of the machine. Typical problems are a dark or partly missing display, buttons that need to be pressed several times, keys that stop responding altogether or a panel that shows random characters. On older SJ printers, worn key contacts are a very common failure.
