Original Roland SJ-745EX / SJ-740 / FJ-540 / SJ-1000 Feed Motor – 7811909000

Roland part number 7811909000, ASSY,FEED MOTOR FJ-540, is the media feed motor used across the classic SOLJET range: the SJ-540, SJ-640 and SJ-740, the SJ-545EX, SJ-645EX and SJ-745EX, the 104-inch SJ-1000 and SJ-1045EX, and the Hi-Fi JET FJ-540. This is a genuine, original Roland part – not a copy or compatible replacement.

The feed motor drives the grit roller through a reduction gear and moves the media in precise steps between print passes. After years of use the motor can lose torque or develop encoder faults. You will typically see feed or motor errors, media slipping or stopping, regular horizontal banding caused by inaccurate feed, or hear grinding and humming from the drive side. On wide machines such as the SJ-1045EX, where heavy rolls are common, the feed motor is a frequent wear item.
