The ASSY,INK DAMPER L (part number 6085393800) is a replacement ink damper for Roland wide-format printers including the VersaCAMM SP-300 and VP-300, the SOLJET XJ-740 and XC-540, the RS-640 and the VersaUV LEF-300. It mounts on the print carriage between the ink tube and the print head. This is a genuine, original Roland part – not a copy or compatible replacement.

A damper buffers ink pressure while the carriage travels and filters the ink just before it enters the head. With age the damper film stiffens or leaks and the filter clogs. Typical symptoms are ink starvation on long prints, nozzles that recover after a cleaning and then drop out again, air bubbles in the line and ink dripping onto the media. Fresh dampers are one of the cheapest ways to restore stable printing.
