This board is mounted on the carriage and drives the print heads with data received from the main board, while handling the other carriage-side connections. A failing carriage board can leave the LEF-12 showing print head errors at power-up, printing with a full head or colour group missing although nozzle checks after cleaning look normal, adding random noise or bands to the image, or stopping mid-job with a carriage error. Replacing the board restores reliable head control.
