The ASSY,SCAN MOTOR LEF-12 (part number 6000002593) is the DC servo scan motor for Roland's VersaUV benchtop UV printers: the LEF-12, LEF-20, LEF-200 and LEF-300. Despite the LEF-12 name, the same motor is used across the whole first-generation LEF range. This is a genuine, original Roland part – not a copy or compatible replacement.

The scan motor moves the print carriage, with its heads and UV lamps, back and forth over the table. A servo motor relies on encoder feedback to place each pass accurately, so a worn motor shows up quickly in print quality. Common symptoms are carriage motor or servo errors, the carriage stopping in mid-travel, grinding or whining noises, white lines or banding that persist after head cleaning and calibration, and poor bidirectional alignment. Replacing the motor restores smooth carriage travel.
