This take-up controller board, Roland part number 6700311200 (ASSY,TAKEUP BOARD XC-540), runs the automatic media take-up system on a wide range of Roland printers, from the SOLJET PRO III XJ series and XC-540 to the XR-640 and the VersaUV LEC and LEJ machines. This is a genuine, original Roland part – not a copy or compatible replacement.

The board reads the take-up dancer or sensor and drives the take-up motor so the printed media is wound evenly onto the core. When it fails, the take-up unit may stop rewinding, wind continuously without tension control, react in the wrong direction, or cause media to pile up on the floor and skew during long unattended prints.
