The Kyocera KJ4B-EX1200-RC is a 1200dpi industrial-grade piezoelectric inkjet printhead developed by Kyocera for water-based inks. As part of the new-generation EX series with ink recirculation, it delivers outstanding jetting performance across a wide range of applications—including commercial printing, package printing, transaction and document printing, security printing (with MICR magnetic ink), and textile printing—handling both single-pass and multi-pass modes with ease. Powered by Kyocera’s proprietary large monolithic piezoelectric ceramic actuator, the printhead delivers uniform, high-resolution output even at high operating speeds.
The printhead features an ink recirculation structure that continuously circulates ink around the nozzles, suppressing the sedimentation of ink components and maintaining uniform temperature. This enables compatibility with a wide range of inks—including fast-drying formulations—while reducing the risk of nozzle clogging and minimizing routine maintenance such as cleaning at printer restart. Combined with a standard water-cooling system, it keeps the driver board and printhead at a constant temperature, ensuring consistent print quality throughout long, continuous, high-speed production runs. In addition, this model adopts the same electrical interface as the conventional KJ4B-1200, simplifying device integration and upgrades. With its balanced performance in resolution, speed, and reliability, the Kyocera KJ4B-EX1200-RC effectively boosts productivity and reduces maintenance workload, making it an ideal printhead choice for industrial digital printing equipment.
