The Mimaki E302108 is the encoder sensor used in JFX600, JFX550, JV330 and CJV330 printers. Its original Mimaki name is 150LPI Encoder PCB Assy, meaning it is made for a 150 LPI (lines per inch) encoder strip. Mounted on the carriage, it reads the linear encoder strip (scale) as the carriage moves, telling the printer the exact head position so that each ink drop is fired at the right place. This is a genuine, original Mimaki part – not a copy or compatible replacement.

A dirty or faulty encoder sensor quickly affects print quality. Common symptoms are encoder or carriage position errors, the carriage running into the side frame, vertical banding, blurred or doubled images, and bidirectional misalignment that cannot be corrected with adjustments. Clean the encoder strip first; if the problem remains, replacing the sensor with the original part usually solves it.
