Original Mimaki JV150 / JV300 / CJV150 / CJV300 Cap Holder Absorber Sponge – SPA-0257

The Mimaki SPA-0257 is the absorber sponge that sits in the cap holder of the capping station on JV150, JV300, CJV150 and CJV300 series printers. It catches ink that drips or is flushed around the caps during cleaning and parking, so that ink does not collect on the cap frame or run into the station mechanics. This is a genuine, original Mimaki part – not a copy or compatible replacement.

Over time the sponge becomes saturated and ink can dry or harden in it. A full sponge lets ink build up around the caps, which can affect cap sealing, contaminate the wiper area and lead to nozzle problems or ink dripping onto the media. Replace the sponge when it is dark and saturated, when ink starts to pool around the caps, or as part of regular maintenance of the capping station.
