The Mimaki M905240 is the capping station of the JV33, JV150, JV300, CJV150 and CJV300 printers. It sits at the home position of the carriage: when the carriage parks, the caps rise and seal the print heads so the nozzles do not dry out, and during cleaning the station sucks ink through the nozzles and collects it for the waste ink system. This is a genuine, original Mimaki part – not a copy or compatible replacement.

With constant ink contact the caps harden or deform, the absorber inside saturates and ink dries in the mechanism. A worn capping station no longer seals or cleans properly. Typical signs are weak suction, nozzles that do not recover after cleaning, heads that dry out while the printer is idle, ink puddles around the caps and drips on the media near the home position. Replacing the capping station restores a tight seal and reliable cleaning.
