The Mimaki M700993 is a pinch roller for the SWJ-320 series of wide-format printers. Pinch rollers press the media down onto the grit (feed) roller, so the printer can move the media forward precisely and keep it straight during long print jobs. This is a genuine, original Mimaki part – not a copy or compatible replacement.
Over time the rubber surface of a pinch roller hardens, wears flat or picks up ink and dust. Typical signs that the rollers need replacement are media skewing to one side, slipping or uneven feeding, horizontal banding caused by inaccurate feed, roller marks on the print, and media jams. Replacing worn rollers, ideally as a set, brings back even pressure across the width of the media.
