The Mimaki MP-OJ-4606-N23 is an original photo interrupter (optical slot sensor) used in UCJV300, UCJV150, CJV300 and CJV150 printers. A photo interrupter has a light emitter and a receiver facing each other; when a flag or moving part passes through the slot and blocks the light, the sensor sends a signal to the controller. Printers use this type of sensor to detect home positions and the state of moving mechanisms. This is a genuine, original Mimaki part – not a copy or compatible replacement.

Replace the photo interrupter when the printer reports origin or position errors, when a mechanism does not stop at the correct point, or when a sensor check shows no change of state. Ink mist, dust or a broken sensor body can all stop the sensor from working.
