This is the wiper head assembly, Roland part number 6000007165 (ASSY,WIPER HEAD SV2 CG2183), used in the maintenance station of the VersaUV LG-300, LG-540 and LG-640, the VersaOBJECT MO-180 and MO-240, the ER-641 and ER-642 and several other current Roland printers. This is a genuine, original Roland part – not a copy or compatible replacement.

As part of every automatic cleaning, the wiper head sweeps across the print heads to clear ink, dust and debris from the nozzle plate. A hardened, torn or ink-caked wiper no longer cleans effectively and can even scratch or smear the head surface. Look out for streaks, banding, nozzles that drop out shortly after cleaning and ink spots on the media.
