Part number 1000006736 (WIPER,HEAD FELT VS-640) is the felt head wiper used alongside the rubber wiper in the cleaning station of Roland VersaCAMM VS-640i, VS-540i and VS-300i printer/cutters, the earlier VS series, the VersaStudio BN-20, the VersaEXPRESS RE-640 and the SOLJET XR-640, XF-640 and EJ-640. This is a genuine, original Roland part – not a copy or compatible replacement.

While the rubber blade scrapes residue from the nozzle plate, the felt wiper absorbs excess ink and gives the head surface a final wipe. Once the felt is saturated or hardened, it stops absorbing and starts spreading ink, leading to smudged prints, ink drips, unstable nozzles and more frequent head cleanings.
