The ASSY,DAMPER R SV2 CG2183 (part number 6000007663) is the R-side damper assembly for Roland UV machines: the TrueVIS LG-300, LG-540 and LG-640 UV printer/cutters, the VersaOBJECT MO-180 and MO-240 object printers, the UG-642 and the LO-300-F2 / LO-640-F3 variants. It is supplied as a complete assembly rather than a single damper. This is a genuine, original Roland part – not a copy or compatible replacement.
On these UV printers the damper assembly regulates the ink pressure delivered to the heads and filters the UV ink on its way to the nozzles. A failing assembly shows up as ink starvation, unstable nozzle checks, air bubbles, ink leaks on the carriage or ink-related error messages. Because UV ink cures and thickens over time, worn dampers are a common cause of dropouts on older units.
