Original Roland VS-640i / VS-540i / BN-20 / XF-640 Rubber Wiper Head – 1000006517

This rubber head wiper, Roland part number 1000006517 (WIPER,HEAD VS-640), is the blade-type wiper used in the maintenance station of many Roland eco-solvent printers, including the VersaCAMM VS-640i, VS-540i and VS-300i, the original VS series, the VersaStudio BN-20, the VersaEXPRESS RE-640 and the SOLJET XR-640, XF-640 and EJ-640. This is a genuine, original Roland part – not a copy or compatible replacement.

During every cleaning cycle the wiper sweeps across the print head nozzle plate to remove ink residue and dust. Over time the rubber edge hardens, nicks or collects dried ink, and instead of cleaning the head it smears ink back onto it. Typical signs are streaks and banding, deflected or missing nozzles that return after cleaning, and ink drips on the media.
