Original Roland XC-540 / XJ-740 / VP-540 / SP-540i DX4 Cap Top 2 – 1000004546

The ASSY,CAP-TOP 2 XC-540 (part number 1000004546) is the cap top used in the capping station of Roland printers fitted with the 4th-generation DX4 eco-solvent print head (Roland head part 6000005213, ASSY,HEAD INKJET SOL XC-540 SV2). Typical machines include the SOLJET XC-540 and XJ-740, the VersaCAMM VP-540 and SP-540i, and the VersaUV LEF-12. This is a genuine, original Roland part – not a copy or compatible replacement.

When the carriage parks, the cap top seals against the print head so the nozzles do not dry out, and during cleaning it lets the pump draw ink through the head. A worn or hardened cap no longer seals: cleanings stop recovering nozzles, ink pools on the cap, and the head can dry out overnight. Replacing the cap top is a routine maintenance job that protects your print head.
