The ASSY,PRESS PUMP SV2 VG-640 (part number 6000005746) is the pressure pump assembly from the ink supply system of the first-generation Roland TrueVIS machines: the VG-540 and VG-640 printers and the SG-300 and SG-540 printer/cutters. This is a genuine, original Roland part – not a copy or compatible replacement.

Unlike the cleaning pump in the capping station, the press pump supplies the pressure the TrueVIS ink system relies on to move ink from the pouches toward the print heads. When the pump wears out or its motor fails, the printer may show ink supply or pressure related errors, fail to complete ink filling, or deliver ink unevenly so that colours fade or drop out during printing. Replacing the press pump restores a consistent supply and lets the dampers and heads work as designed.
