Original Roland VersaCAMM SP-300V / SP-540V / SP-300 Scan Motor – 7876709010

This is the genuine Roland scan motor 7876709010, ASSY,SCAN MOTOR SP-540V, for the VersaCAMM SP-300, SP-300V and SP-540V printer/cutters. It is the new-type motor that Roland introduced to replace the original SP-300 scan motor, part number 22805498. This is a genuine, original Roland part – not a copy or compatible replacement.

The scan motor drives the carriage belt and moves the print heads and cutting carriage back and forth across the media. When it wears, the bearings become noisy, the motor loses torque and the encoder signal becomes unstable. Typical symptoms are motor or servo errors, the carriage stopping or juddering during a pass, burning smell from the motor, horizontal banding or misaligned bidirectional printing, and cutting that drifts out of position.
