Original Roland XF-640 / EJ-640 / XT-640 Scan Motor Assembly – 6702049010

Part number 6702049010, ASSY,SCAN MOTOR XF-640, is the carriage scan motor assembly for the Roland XF-640 eco-solvent printer, the SOLJET EJ-640 and the Texart XT-640 dye-sublimation printer. This is a genuine, original Roland part – not a copy or compatible replacement.

These high-speed 64-inch printers move a heavy carriage at speed across the full media width, which places a lot of load on the scan motor. The motor drives the carriage belt; its encoder feedback lets the printer place every dot precisely. As the motor ages you may hear grinding or whining, see carriage motor or servo errors, notice the carriage hesitating at the ends of a pass, or find that bidirectional alignment drifts and banding appears. A fresh motor brings back quiet, consistent carriage motion.
