Roland ZC-23-3 Overview
The Roland ZC-23-3 is a 3.0 mm collet for the ZC-23 spindle system used on Roland engravers and milling machines. It holds end mills and engraving tools with a 3.0 mm shank tightly and on-center in the spindle. This is a genuine, original Roland part – not a copy or compatible replacement.
A collet is a precision wear part. After many tool changes, the clamping surfaces wear or pick up dirt, and the collet can lose its grip. Signs that it is time for a new one include tools slipping out of the spindle, poor runout that makes lines look thick or wavy, chatter, broken small-diameter tools and marks on tool shanks. Keeping a spare in each size you use avoids downtime.
