Seiko SPT-510 (50pl) Printhead Overview

The Seiko SPT-510 is a piezoelectric drop-on-demand printhead, integrating 510 nozzles in a single unit to balance print precision and speed, with output reaching up to 720dpi. Its surface features a reinforced steel-plate design, giving it a service life several times longer than conventional 128-nozzle models. The original part number is IRH1513U-3522.

In terms of ink compatibility, this printhead supports oil-based, solvent, and UV inks, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. It offers a native resolution of 180dpi, a nozzle pitch of roughly 141 microns, and an effective print width of nearly 71.8mm per unit. The standard drop volume is 50pl, with 35pl and 80pl options also available. Operating frequency varies with drop size: approximately 8kHz for 35pl, 6kHz for 50pl, and 4kHz for 80pl. The printhead uses a parallel driving interface, measures about 126×99×33mm, and weighs around 200 grams. A heating module is available as an option on select models.

For compatibility, the SPT-510 is widely used across a variety of wide-format printing equipment, including the Acetek TC-3208GD, CrystalJet CJ-4000 and CJ-6000, Icontek TW-3308MS, the Infiniti Challenger series (models such as the FY-3208 and FY-3278), Phaeton UD-3278, SID Xpress 320, Xenons X5310, and Xutu XTS 1000/2000. It is also suited to the relevant configurations of the Crystaljet F1804 and F3304II.
