StarFire SG1024/MA-2C Printhead Overview
The FUJIFILM Dimatix StarFire SG1024 / MA-2C is a high-performance piezoelectric drop-on-demand printhead engineered for today’s high-speed scanning and single-pass industrial printing systems.
It is purpose-built for two-color (2C) operation at resolutions up to 200 dpi per color (400 dpi native module resolution), and leverages REDIJET® continuous ink recirculation for consistent jetting, reduced downtime, and reliable long-term performance.
This model features a robust, fully repairable design, equipped with a durable, coated metal nozzle plate that is abrasion-resistant and replaceable for extended service life.

- REDIJET® recirculation: Dual ink recirculation at the nozzles and refill chambers for faster startup, extended open time, and reduced downtime.
- Heater & Thermistor: Built-in system provides viscosity control up to 50°C, with an integrated temperature sensor for precise viscosity management.
- Ink Compatibility: Solvent, UV-curable, and aqueous inks; viscosity range 8–20 cP (10–14 cP for highest productivity).
- Interfaces:
- Electrical: 60-pin connector for power, data, and fire pulse.
- Fluid: Two inlets/outlets per channel with Luer fittings for priming, flushing, and continuous ink recirculation.
